Authentication
Sidvy uses passwordless authentication via magic links. This is both more secure and more convenient than traditional passwords.
Signing In
Section titled “Signing In”- Enter your email address on the login page
- Check your inbox for the magic link email
- Click the link to sign in
The link expires after 15 minutes for security. If it expires, simply request a new one.
Session Management
Section titled “Session Management”Your session persists across browser restarts. You’ll stay signed in until:
- You explicitly sign out
- Your session expires (after extended inactivity)
- You clear your browser data
Multiple Devices
Section titled “Multiple Devices”Sign in on as many devices as you like. Your notes sync in real-time across all of them.
Signing Out
Section titled “Signing Out”- Click your profile icon in the bottom-left
- Select Sign Out
Account Security
Section titled “Account Security”- Magic links are single-use and expire quickly
- Sessions use secure JWT tokens
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS
- Optional note-level encryption adds another layer of protection
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Magic link not arriving?
Section titled “Magic link not arriving?”- Check your spam/junk folder
- Verify you entered the correct email
- Wait a minute and try again
- Check if your email provider blocks automated emails
Link expired?
Section titled “Link expired?”Simply go back to the login page and request a new one. Links expire after 15 minutes.
