Todo List View
The Todo List view aggregates all checkboxes from all notes into a single, manageable list.
Accessing the Todo List
Section titled “Accessing the Todo List”- Click the Todos tab in the sidebar
Todo List Interface
Section titled “Todo List Interface”Todo Item
Section titled “Todo Item”Each todo shows:
- Checkbox - Click to toggle completion
- Text - The todo content
- Note link - Click to open the source note
- Completion time - When it was completed (if applicable)
Grouping
Section titled “Grouping”Todos are grouped by the note they belong to, making it easy to see context.
Working with Todos
Section titled “Working with Todos”Completing a Todo
Section titled “Completing a Todo”Click the checkbox. The todo:
- Gets marked as complete
- Records the completion timestamp
- Updates the checkbox in the source note
Uncompleting a Todo
Section titled “Uncompleting a Todo”Click a completed todo’s checkbox to mark it incomplete again.
Opening the Source Note
Section titled “Opening the Source Note”Click the note name to jump directly to that note. The note opens and scrolls to the todo location.
Todo Statistics
Section titled “Todo Statistics”At the top of the Todo List, you’ll see:
- Total - All todos in the workspace
- Pending - Uncompleted todos
- Completed - Finished todos
Filtering
Section titled “Filtering”See Filtering & Stats for detailed filtering options.
Real-time Sync
Section titled “Real-time Sync”The Todo List updates in real-time:
- Add a checkbox in a note → appears immediately
- Complete a todo → updates everywhere
- Delete a checkbox → removes from list
No refresh needed.
Daily Review
Section titled “Daily Review”Start your day by reviewing the Todo List to see what’s pending across all your notes.
Use with Daily Notes
Section titled “Use with Daily Notes”If you add todos to daily notes, the Todo List becomes a running task list that spans days.
Quick Capture
Section titled “Quick Capture”Create a dedicated “Inbox” note for quick todo capture, then move items to relevant notes later.
Archive Completed
Section titled “Archive Completed”Periodically review completed todos. If a note has all todos done, consider archiving or summarizing it.
