Creating Templates
Templates let you create reusable note structures. Perfect for daily journals, meeting notes, weekly reviews, or any recurring note format.
Accessing Templates
Section titled “Accessing Templates”- Go to Settings (gear icon)
- Select the Templates tab
Templates are workspace-specific. Each workspace has its own set of templates.
Creating a Template
Section titled “Creating a Template”- In the Templates tab, click Create Template
- Enter a Template Name (e.g., “Daily Journal”, “Meeting Notes”)
- Write your template content using the rich text editor
- Click Save
Template Content
Section titled “Template Content”Templates support the same rich text formatting as regular notes:
- Headings
- Lists (bullet, numbered, checkbox)
- Bold, italic, underline
- Code blocks
- Block quotes
- Tables
- Horizontal rules
Editing Templates
Section titled “Editing Templates”- Go to Settings > Templates
- Click Edit next to the template
- Modify the name or content
- Click Save
Deleting Templates
Section titled “Deleting Templates”- Go to Settings > Templates
- Click Delete next to the template
- Confirm deletion
Using Templates
Section titled “Using Templates”There are two ways to use templates:
From Command Palette
Section titled “From Command Palette”- Press
Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + Kto open the command palette - Type “template” or the template name
- Select New from Template: [Template Name]
- A new note is created with the template content
As Calendar Defaults
Section titled “As Calendar Defaults”Set a template as the default for daily or weekly notes. See Calendar Defaults for details.
Organize by Purpose
Section titled “Organize by Purpose”Create templates for different contexts:
- Daily Journal - Morning reflection, tasks, evening review
- Meeting Notes - Attendees, agenda, action items
- Weekly Review - Accomplishments, learnings, next week goals
- Project Kickoff - Goals, stakeholders, timeline
