Public Notes
Share individual notes publicly so anyone with the link can view them.
Creating a Share Link
Section titled “Creating a Share Link”- Open the note you want to share
- Click the Share button in the toolbar
- Toggle Public sharing on
- Copy the generated link
Anyone with this link can view the note (read-only).
Share Link Format
Section titled “Share Link Format”Share links look like:
https://sidvy.com/p/abc123xyzThe random token (abc123xyz) makes the link unguessable.
What’s Shared
Section titled “What’s Shared”When you share a note:
- Included: Note content, formatting, images
- Not included: Your identity, other notes, wiki link targets
Wiki Links in Shared Notes
Section titled “Wiki Links in Shared Notes”Wiki links in shared notes appear as text, not clickable links. Viewers cannot navigate to your other notes.
Managing Shared Notes
Section titled “Managing Shared Notes”Viewing Active Shares
Section titled “Viewing Active Shares”- Go to Settings
- Select Sharing
- See all notes you’ve shared
Revoking Access
Section titled “Revoking Access”- Open the shared note
- Click Share
- Toggle Public sharing off
Or from Settings:
- Go to Settings > Sharing
- Find the note
- Click Revoke
The link immediately stops working.
Updating Shared Content
Section titled “Updating Shared Content”When you edit a shared note:
- Changes appear immediately
- The link stays the same
- No action needed
Security Considerations
Section titled “Security Considerations”Link Privacy
Section titled “Link Privacy”- Links are unguessable (random tokens)
- But anyone with the link can view
- Don’t share links in public forums unless intended
What Viewers Can Do

- Copy content
- Cannot edit, comment, or access other notes
Encrypted Notes
Section titled “Encrypted Notes”Encrypted notes cannot be shared publicly. Decrypt first if you want to share.

Best Practices

Section titled “Review Before Sharing”Always review content before sharing:
- Remove sensitive information
- Check that wiki links to private notes aren’t revealing
- Ensure the note is complete
